He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Maurer and Marie Maurer; his sister Janet Smith; his parents-in-law, Maynard and Ruth Bieber; and his brother-in-law Frank Bieber.
He is survived by: his friend Bill W; his wife Mary Annette Maurer; his children, Mary Cummings (Dermot), Paul Maurer Jr. and Annette Troescher (Kirk); his brother Alan Maurer (Chris); his grandchildren, Liam Cummings (Nichole), Jennifer Creamer (Gregg), Joshua and Dominic Troescher; and his sisters-in-law, Cora Lee Alley (Richard) and Lucy Bieber.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Paul's memory.
