He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Pies and Rosemary Pies; his brother John David "Jackie" Pies; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Wehrle, Bobby Wehrle, Karl Wehrle and Dennis Day.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Pies; his children, Tammy Eppinghoff (Steve), Michael Pies (Leslie) and Matthew Pies (Jessica); his grandchildren, Faith Eppinghoff, Jordan Pies (Celeste), Payton, Rowan Pies, Liam and Luna Pies; his siblings, James Pies and Nancy Wilberding (Chuck); and his siblings-in-law, Davy Wehrle (Jennie), Janet Day and Vickie Cadle (David).

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at 23670 Salt Fork Rd, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

The family request memorials to Loving Hearts Hospice or Dearborn County Food Pantry.
