She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence "Sonny" Whitis, Sr.; and her brother Robert Linde (Louise). She is survived by: her children, Clarence "Sonny" Whitis, Jr. and Shirley Davis (Don); her grandchildren, Jimmy Williams and Nichole Heath (Matthew); and her sister Marie Emerson (late Carl).

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place.
