He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Steinmetz and Rosa Steinmetz; his wife Corena Steinmetz; his brothers, Joseph (Inez), Eugene and Vernon Steinmetz (Joyce); and his sister-in-law Janet Steinmetz.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Lankert (Ron) and Robert Steinmetz; his grandchildren, Russell Shockley, Sandra Tyler (Rob), Kevin Steinmetz, Angela Olding, Kristopher Lankert (Kuniko) and Ronnie Lankert; his great grandchildren, Cole, Jacob, Grace Shockley, Audrey, Maxwell Tyler, Abigail, Avery Olding, Alexandria and Dallas Lankert; his brother Henry Steinmetz; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Steinmetz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
