He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Chesnut; his parents, Earnest Chesnut and Ruth Chesnut; and his siblings, Carl, Anna Bryant and Mary King.
He is survived by: his sons, Todd (Barb) and Brandon Chesnut; his sister Phyllis Perkins; and his grandchildren, Blake, Camryn, Zoey and Max. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
