With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Steve Abel of Hanoverton, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Steve left this world on January 11, 2025 at the age of 39, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert, Katherine Abel and Leonard Bodemann. He is survived by: his parents, Frank Abel and Rebecca Abel (Bodemann); his wife Sheena Abel (Fortune); his children, Madi, Paityn, Dante (Bekka) and Paxton; his sister Miranda Abel (Ronnie) of Salem; his sister-in-law Kayla Anderson (Pete) of Salem; his parents-in-law, James and Beverly Fortune of Leetonia; his grandmother Dorothy Bodemann; and his nieces and nephews, Kyra, Aubree and Colton. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Winona Friends Church (4687 Whinnery Rd, Salem, OH 44460). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
