He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip D. Smith and Joanna B. Smith (Cook); his son Jeff Smith; and his brothers, Joe and Michael Smith.
He is survived by: his children, James "Jim" Smith (Amy) of Sardis, OH and Melissa Ingram of Paden City, WV; his grandchildren, Dennis Aaron Ingram (Noele) of St. Clairsville, OH and Faith Christine Ingram of Paden City, WV; and his brothers, Dick Smith of Washington, D. C., Larry Smith (Pat) of Plano, TX and Tom Smith (Liz) of Kettering, OH. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
