He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Stewart and Leona Stewart (Williams). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Stewart; his children, Jonathan Stewart (Racquel) of Brookville, OH and Shawna Matusik (Mike) of Sardis, OH; his sister Rebecca Sall (Frank) of Cadiz, OH; his sisters-in-law, Sue Stewart and Opal Stewart; and his grandchildren, Landon Stewart, Lucy Stewart, Noah Stewart, Nora Stewart, Luke Matusik, Ally Matusik, Michael Matusik and Chelsea Kuhn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Edward's name, to Sardis Volunteer Fire Dept., 37286 Muskingum St., Sardis, OH 43946.

“In 2007 when I gave my soul to Christ, I was met with open arms by 2 of the most beautiful people of Gods creation. They mentored me into the family of Christ, always there for me in my time of need. As my wife entered her final earthly days, the love shown by these 2 beautiful souls radiated between the mountains of eastern Ohio to the Mountains of western West Virginia. Today I shed a tear of love for my friends, and a tear of faith in knowing that Ed dwells in God's house. Love, Curt Lindner.”
