He is survived by: his children, Steven Cavanaugh (Joyce), Christine Smith (Timothy) and Shelly Bendele (Tony); his grandchildren, Ashlee Smith, Amber Clasper (Christian), Nicholas Smith, Andrew Bendele and Aimee Bendele; his great grandchildren, Payton, Lily and Violet Bendele; and his siblings, Madonna Alt, Mary Margaret Sheets and Patrick Cavanaugh.
