He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Bowman and Mary Bowman (Heitfield); his sons, Joseph Mulosh and David Paul Bowman; and his brothers, Morris Bowman and Richard Bowman.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Bowman (Hudson); his children, Rhonda Gadd (Jeff), Connie Hopkins, Spencer Keith Bowman Jr. and Kimberly Bowman; his grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla and Jerry; his great grandchildren, Annica, Zane, Hayden and Raylynn; and his siblings, Linda Telinda, Michael Bowman and Ken Bowman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
