He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Norman R. Shope and Beulah Shope (Adams); his wife Winona E. Powell; his children, Norman R. Shope III, Christina Frazier (Jake), Misty Busam (Jeremy Huber) and Jacob Bokeno; his grandchildren, Kyle, Austin, Cody, Katie of Miley, J. T. and Asher; and his siblings, Jimmy, David, Dan, John Shope, Susan Shope and Judy Strickland. He was also cherished by five great grandchildren.
