She was predeceased by: her parents, Katie Cornett (Hendrix) and Dover Cornett Sr.; and her siblings, Denver Cornett, Orie Cornett, John Cornett, Dover Cornett Jr., William Cornett, Felix Foister Cornett, Frank Cornett, Robert Cornett, Polly Lucas (Cornett Hamilton) and Mary Belle Thacker (Cornett).

She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Sturgill (Tammie) of Hamilton, Ohio, Donna Schellenbach (Philip) of Fairfield, Ohio, Beverley Thompson (Jim) of Oxford, Ohio, Timothy Sturgill (Beth Ann) of Hamilton, Ohio and Michael Sturgill of Columbus, Ohio; and her sister Jessie Joseph (Cornett). She is also survived by five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
