He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Truster and Elma Truster (Heet). He is survived by: his wife Carol Truster; his children, Tim Truster, Chris Truster (Grant) and Jeff Truster (Mary); his grandsons, Owen and Lucas; and his sister Patsy Moorhead. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.

Memorial contributions in Daniel's honor may be made to the Seven Mile Volunteer Fire Department & Life Squad.
