He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Colwell and Siller Colwell; his siblings, Robert Colwell, Ruth Asher, Lilly Mae Lingo and Betty Jean Heath; and his son Floyd Anthony Colwell.
He is survived by: his wife Ida Mae Colwell; and his children, Sherry Tasch (Robert), Irene Colwell, Johnny Colwell (Lisa), Michael Colwell (Mandy) and Lonnie Ray Colwell (Trisha). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lonnie's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
