He was predeceased by: his father Charles Wert; his daughter Melissa Wert; and his sister Lori Bekafi. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Evina Wert of Akron; his children, Steven Wayne Wert (Destiny) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Crystal Wert of Macy, Indiana; and his brother David Wert of Akron. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
