He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Kessler, Sr. and Mildred E. Huffman Kessler; his son Timothy Kessler; and his sister Sandy Kessler. He is survived by: his wife Wylodine Jayjohn Kessler; his children, James Scott Kessler of Hamden and Angela Dempsey (Todd) of Jackson; and his grandchildren, Nikki Smallridge (Eric), Chelsey Ballis (Brenton), James Scott Kessler, Jr., Tosha Kessler, Ian Dempsey, Jack Dempsey and Brant Dempsey. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
