He was predeceased by: his parents, William I. Buckley and Betty L. Cartwright Buckley Canter; his brothers, John Canter and James "Jay" Canter; and his grandmother Freda Jeffrey.
He is survived by: his wife Betty R. Jenkins Buckley; his son Brian Michael Buckley of Radcliff; and his sisters, Martha Tilley (Gary) of Jackson and Susan Covin of Jackson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
