He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth E. Cox Staten; and his wife Renie Zinn Staten. He is survived by: his daughter Terri; his son-in-law Dale Forshey of Wellston; his siblings-in-law, Bill, Jane Zinn of Hamden, Jerry, Sara Zinn of McArthur, John and Tessa Zinn of McArthur; and his friend Judy Thompson of Hamden. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
