She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Thompson, Sr. and Dorothy Smith Thompson. She is survived by: her husband Tony L. Brooks; her sons, Tony L. Brooks II (Dustin Musick) of Athens and Michael Brooks of Athens; her grandchildren, Ian Basilio, Emilee Basilio, Adison Rau and Kelly Basilio; her siblings, Patty Barnhart of Athens and Sonny Thompson of Chauncey; and her close friends, Debbie Quivey, Carolee Simons, Olga Thomas, Carol Perry, Bernita Stotts and Shantelle McLaughlin. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Margie Dailey Bevins; and a brother in law, Bob Barnhart, Sr. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, a public graveside will be held at Athens Memory Gardens on Tuesday at 1:00 p. m. with Rev. Phil Foster officiating.
