He was predeceased by: his parents, Uriah Cunningham and Evalena Cunningham (Watkins); his daughter Karen Marie Cunningham; his granddaughter Caitlin Elizabeth Cunningham; and his siblings, John, Kenneth, Jerry, Eileen, Cleo, Norma and Judy.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Cunningham (Davis); his children, Diana Boyer (Terry) of Coolville, Denise Cunningham of Athens, Sandy Pugh (Steve) of Guysville, Ohio, Gary Cunningham (Anita) of Guysville and Danny Cunningham (Karen) of Guysville, Ohio; his grandchildren, Jessica Rodehaver (Tim), Bradley Pugh (Brittnie), Tyler Cunningham (Marlana), Josh Cunningham (Megan), Zach Cunningham and Jacob Cunningham; and his great grandchildren, Benjamin Rodehaver, Tucker, Maddison Cunningham, Emma and Loren Cunningham.
