He is survived by: his mother Wanda Metcalf; his wife Cheryl Butcher Metcalf; his children, Ernest Douglas Metcalf and Brenda Stone (Ernest); and his siblings, Harold Metcalf, Brent Metcalf and Donna Buck. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
