He is survived by: his wife Patti Midkiff Smith; his daughters, Trudi Stroup (Don), Amy Van Voorhis, Kari Jones (Dave) and Debra Toney; his grandchildren, Rachel Bell, Betsy Stokes, Sara Van Voorhis, Josh Toney, Jenna LaMere, Cody Toney and Ryan Toney; and his siblings, Janet Lockwood, Loretta Huber, Alice Smith and Joe Smith. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
