He was predeceased by: his wife Donna; his daughter Sheri Clark (Sells); and his sisters, Pauline (Charles Martin), Ruth (Robert Stults), Joan (Carl Altevogt), Juanita (John Kendall), Shirley (Jimmie Culbreth) and Georgia.

He is survived by: his children, Judy Ellen Bailey (Roger), Bill Sells (Donna) and David Sells (Danielle); his grandchildren, Ben, Erin Bailey, Bill Sells, Sarah Rassell (Aaron), Britney Stutzman (Jeremy), Derrick and David Sells; his great grandchildren, Stella and Preston Rassell; his brother-in-law Phil Claypool; and his son-in-law Alvin Clark. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family.
