He is survived by: his close friend Evelyn Carter; his children, Gary Carter, David Carter, Tammy Carter Woods, Chris Carter, Vicki Brodek, Cheri Welch and John Brodek; his siblings, Daniel Gibson, Jackie Folk (Jack) and Faye Broyles; and his grandchildren, Angel, Courtney, Dava, Casey, Cierra, Cody, Christopher, Aaron and Zach. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
