She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Holsinger and Linda Lawson Holsinger; and her children, Delbert Murphy Jr. and Deborah Murphy. She is survived by: her son Jeremiah Murphy; her siblings, Gordon Holsinger (Pamala), Linda McElwee, Karen Murphy and Cynthia McDonald; and her grandchildren, Nate Murphy, Jacob Murphy and Gabriel Murphy.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the funeral home in Melinda's name.
