With profound sadness, we say goodbye to LaVonne Marie Bals of Groveport, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. LaVonne Marie left this world on February 19, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd "Lee" Winkler and Hilda Winkler (Strauss); her husband Ivan Clemens Bals; her siblings, Robert Winkler, Bernace Winkler, Orris Winkler and Bernard Winkler; and also Bernice Claire Bals.
She is survived by: her children, Dianne Curtiss, Daniel Bals, Karen Zimmerman, Mary Johnson (Ross), JoAnn Hirsh (Larry), David Bals and Michael Bals (Inge); her grandchildren, Kevin, Scott Curtiss, Fred, Jeff, Bruce Zimmerman, Ethan Tupelo, Adam, Jessica, Zachary Hirsh, Benjamin Johnson, Marcus, Andrew and Maria Bals (Dingess); and her great grandchildren, Kevin Jamison, Thomas Landon, Lena, Samantha, Austin, Carson, Allie, Nickolas and Rosalie. She is also survived by great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the South Chapel (1346 S High St, Columbus, OH 43207). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (600 Hill Rd N, Pickerington, OH 43147).
