He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Sr. Highfield and Mary Highfield; his siblings, Barbara Wilburn and Herbert Highfield Jr.; his grandson Michael Wayne Highfield II; his daughter-in-law Mandi Highfield; and his pet Jazzmine Marie.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Highfield; his children, Michael Highfield (Mary), Eric Highfield and April McMillian; and his siblings, Edward Highfield (Sharon) and Beverly Perkins (Robert). He is also survived by many other relatives, his trucking family and friends.
In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial contributions to the Humane Society.
