He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Jr. Carr and Geneva Carr; his parents-in-law, Joe and Florence Meyer; and his grandmother Eliza Hamler.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Carr; his daughters, Tera Martin (Jeffery) and Kelly Jones (Stephen); his grandchildren, Mya Carr-Haley, Jesse Martin and Geneva Carr-Martin; his siblings, Cathy Hundley (David) and Eric Carr (Kimberly); his niece Meredith Hundley; his nephew Wyatt Hundley (Beth); and his sister-in-law Linda Stokes.
