He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Murphy and Nancy Murphy; his wife Carol D. Murphy; his son Ronald E. Murphy; and his siblings, Clarence Murphy and Ettie West.
He is survived by: his children, Rick L. Murphy (Debbie), Karen L. Murphy, Sharon K. Hildenbrand (Chris) and Randy A. Murphy (Christy); his daughter-in-law Paula Anderson; his siblings, June Lemaster, Ruby Cook (Ray), Lorene Ball (Chuck), Bobby Murphy (Arlene) and Rose Daily; and his grandchildren, Rebekah Dunwoody, Christina Kennedy, Jeffrey Daniels, Brian Daniels, Kevin Daniels, Dustin Hildenbrand, Mystique Barker, Ronny Murphy, Jennifer Verhoff, Madison Mayberry and Joshua Murphy. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
