She was predeceased by: her grandmother Gertrude G. Joyce; her parents, Margaret and Robert; her cousin Ruth Laehu; her stepmother Ruth Milbourne; her grandson Justin S. Marquart; and her close friends, Joann, Jack and Roy.
She is survived by: her children, David T. Brown and Darlene Marquart; her son-in-law Steve Marquart; her grandchildren, Tyler T. Brown, Jaycee A. Brown and McKenna D. Marquart Williams; her nieces and nephews, Kathy Schopper, Becky Hall, Lorie Laehu, Sherri Fleig, Andrea Stonebreaker, Jim Clark, Jim Brown, Shawn Lautner, Greg Fleig and Shawn Hall; her great grandchild Oakley J. Brown; her stepsister Judy (Clay Lautner); and her friend Barb Owen.
Donations in her memory can be sent to The Ellen Fund to secure a future for wild mountain gorillas by building The Dian Fossey gorilla fund a permanent home.
