He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Olinger and Father Robert L. Springer Sr. (Sarah); his sisters, Linda Bryant and Virginia Frank; and his daughter-in-law Jodi Springer.

He is survived by: his wife Shelby Springer; his sons, Michael Springer (Loan), Mark Springer (Leanne) and Matthew Springer; his grandchildren, Tyler Springer (Jenna), Kristin Cooper (Joseph) and Meghan Laveling (Harry); and his great grandchildren, Chase, Sadie and Cade.
