He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cruz and Norma Cruz (South). He is survived by: his daughter Shawnda Anderson; his brothers, Danny Cruz and Richard Cruz; his wife Barbara Cruz; his daughters, Dawn Cruz and Chantina Cruz; his grandchildren, Dylan, Alissa, Ronnie and Shyann; his siblings, Darla, Debbie, Deanna and David; his brother-in-law Ray France; his mother-in-law Mary France; and his in-law Tracy Messmer (Bill Swank). He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to Roberts's name.
