He was predeceased by: his parents, Enoch Thompson and Susie Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Stella Rosella; his brother Jerry Thompson (Paulette); his children, Joseph R Thompson, Jr., Deborah K. Bennett (Stephen) and John M Thompson (Ari); his grandchildren, Jennifer Brewer (Drew), Susan Thompson, Joseph Thompson III, Sierra Thompson, Joshua Bennett (Krysten), Justin Bennett, Kaitlyn Bennett, Sean Thompson (Brianna), Emma Thompson and Maya Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Cayla Yoder (Bryce), Kayden DeHaven and William Thompson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
