He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Penix and Jessie Penix (Hampton); and his wife Melissa Penix. He is survived by: his children, Bev Leonhard (Gary), Bo Penix (Gayle) and Wayne Penix (Cathy); and his grandchildren, Jeff Leonhard (Marla), Kim Miller (Tim), Bryan Penix (Lauren), Brent Penix (Ashley), Wade Penix, Jerry Sowers (Kristi) and Stephanie Sowers (Justin). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
