It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Garrett (Grove City, Ohio), born in Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on July 20, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Hakes and Mildred Hakes; her brother James E. Hakes; and her significant other Ricky Bush. She is survived by: her children, Deborah L. Garrett (Larry Dean) of Panama City, Arthur G. Garrett, Jr. of Panama City and Timothy N. Garrett of Panama City; her grandchildren, Drake Garrett (Anna), Evan Perry and Lindsay Perry; and her great grandchildren, Olivia of Panama City and Rose of Panama City.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to any Hospice Organization or Research for Dementia/Alzheimer's.
