It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Lester of Grove City, Ohio, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Edward Lester to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George R. Lester and Mary Lou Lester; and his brothers, Richard Lester (Dick) and William Lester. He is survived by: his wife Janet Backus; his children, Jamie Guy (Jim), Kristi Horne (Jim) and James Edward Lester II (Christine); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Kimberly, Randene, Michelle, Brittany, Brian, Aidan and Bryn; his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Tristan, Cason, Mila, Slugger, Sawyer, Samantha, Kristen and Alex; his brothers, George R Lester (Patty) and John F Lester; and also Karen Price of Beckley, WV. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mid-Ohio Food Bank or Mount Carmel Hospice.

It is set free when these thin eggshells of our body's break open, and our soul is born into eternity. This is from me and Lisa, but I'm sure my mom supports me in speaking on her behalf as well, and we wish as much comfort and closure for Janet and the kids as they will accept over the coming weeks and months.
