He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Sturgill and Mildred Robinson; his sister Sue Dougherty; and his grandchildren, Bridgette and Angel Meyer.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Robert Sturgill (Suzetta), Ann Marie Meyer (Carson), David Sturgill, Jacqueline McCool (Jim), Lisa Watkins, James P. Sturgill and Andrew Sturgill (Stephanie); and his siblings, Robert Sturgill, Linda Gibson and Diana Devore. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
