Iva G. Herman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iva G. Herman of Grove City, Ohio, who passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Iva G. Herman to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hughie Wallace and May Britton; her in-laws, Elmer and Ida Herman; her siblings, Sylvia Reid, Ural, Robert, Donald Ray, Hancel, Jack and Arlie Norman Britton; and her siblings-in-law, Neil and Ella Mae Herman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Burton (Mitch) of Fuquay-Varina, N. C. and Lori Kidwell (late Richard) of Grove City, OH.; her grandchildren, Adam Kidwell (Jessica) of Hardeeville, S. C., Deana Schlax (John) of Durham, N. C., Jennifer Kidwell of Grove City, OH. and Christi Burnett of Fuquay-Varina, N. C.; her great grandchildren, Harper, Eli, Brooks Kidwell, Silas, Evalyn, Kaila, Stella, Titus, Ruth Schlax, Jon, Bryan Martinez, Michael, Mia and Avery Burnett; and her sister Wanda Mackey. She is also survived by her girls, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She belonged to the Jefferson Quilting Club and the Ashtabula Sew What Quilting Group where she and fellow members made and donated quilts to Harbor Lights Hospice, the Cancer Relay Team, and the Ashtabula Lighthouse Restoration Society. They also made and donated quilts, teddy bears, baby hats and other items to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, the Help Me Grow Program in Ashtabula, Ashtabula County Medical Center Nursery, Ashtabula Children's Services and the Alzheimer's Unit of Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
