He was predeceased by: his grandchildren, Justin and Ashley Patterson. He is survived by: his spouse Ginny Maurer; and his children, Randy Maurer (Eileen), Michael Maurer, Judy Harvey (Douglas) and Karen Patterson (Michael). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Buckeye Christian Church.
