He was predeceased by: his parents, James Louis and Clara Hickman (Miller). He is survived by: his wife Betty Hickman (Charles); his children, Sherri Love (Wes), Don Hickman (Cynthia), Shirley Eberst (Rick) and David Hickman (Tina); his grandchildren, Rachel Bates (Jud), Emily Hickman, Shawn Love, Cory Love, Ryan Eberst (Shayla), Bethany Hickman and Chris Hickman; and his great grandchildren, Keahnu Hickman Lindawan, Bella Bates, Abby Udick, Liam Eberst, Moira Bates, Finn Bates and Sophie Eberst.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Charity Newsies, 4300 Indianola Ave, Columbus, OH 43214.
