He was predeceased by: his parents, George Tanner and Loretha Tanner; and his siblings, Jonas Tanner, Herman Tanner, Dorsey Tanner, Buford Tanner, Blanche Stroud and Bonadean Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Jewell; his sons, Stacey Tanner of Canal Winchester and Darren Tanner (Sharon) of Missouri City, Texas; his siblings, Hartsel Tanner (Donna) of Chillicothe, Robert Tanner (Nancy) of Clarksburg, Ohio, Janet Cosby of Chillicothe and LeeAnn Ruck of Columbus, Ohio; his grandchildren, Latia Tanner, Lamar Tanner, Jayden Tanner, Georgia Grace "Gigi" Tanner and Mariah Hollett; and his close friend Art Gladen. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
