He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony J. Swaneck and Agnes O'Carz Swaneck; his son Andrew Joseph Swaneck; and his siblings, Beverly Stertzbach and Robert Swaneck.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnn (Sawka); his sons, Anthony J. Swaneck, III (Donna) and Alex J. Swaneck (Kimberly); his granddaughters, Olivia and Samantha Swaneck; his siblings, Edward Swaneck (Donna), Paul Swaneck (Jan Geha) and Constance Catalano; and his pet Pete. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
