He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus Coffey and Margaret Coffey (Wireman); and his siblings, Myrtle Coffey, Russell Coffey, Dormant Coffey, David Coffey, Mary Patrick, Liberty Coffey, Rebecca Moore, Curt Coffey, Susie Shepherd, Dan Coffey, Martha Frazier, Bertha Stacy and Edith Ousley.
He is survived by: his wife Verna Coffey (Skaggs); his children, Pam Shearer (Doug), Stanley Coffey, Steve Coffey and Teresa Coffey; and his grandchildren, Kevin Shearer and Kristina Shearer. He is also survived by 4 children.
