He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Hale (Howard) and Linzie Hale; his wife Charlene Wireman; his sons, Mark Wade Hale and Bryan Hale; his grandson Aiden Hale; his siblings, Sanford Hale and Ruth Oney; and his grandmother Whitaker.
He is survived by: his sons, Bruce and Tim Hale of Greenwich; and his half-brothers, Henry Lee, John T. and Grover C. Hale. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren.
