It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Gilger of Greenwich, Ohio, who passed away on August 18, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son George A.; his wife Eugenia "Jeanie" Reynolds; and his siblings, Joan George, Richard and Dale.
He is survived by: his friend Robert Pettit; his children, Dr. Larry Gilger of Norwalk and Rebecca Smith (James) of Greenwich, Ohio; his grandchildren, Shawn Smith (Cindy) of Greenwich, Thad Smith (Tammy) of Ashland, Leigha McCormack (Tim) of Greenwich and Laura Keysor (Chris) of Greenwich; his great grandchildren, Heath, Chase, Breanna, Samuel, Chanler, Marcus, Jackson, Whitney, Max, Owen, Olivia and Emma; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Madyson and Kennedy; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Gilger, Phillis Gilger and Robert Young. He is also survived by 7 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
