He is survived by: his wife Anne Firestone of Akron; his siblings, Edward Ball and Kathleen Ball Crane; and his children, John F. Ball, Jr. of Chicago, David F. Ball (Lucy) of Darien and Sheila Ball Burkert (Randall) of New York City.
