He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry J. McClure and Phyllis McClure (McNutt); and his sister Rita McClure. He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. McClure (Melling) of Greenville; his stepson Gary Joe Bickel; his stepgrandchildren, Taylor Thompson, Sarah Bickel, Savannah Bickel and Gage Bickel; and his siblings, Nancy, John Crowell, Steven McClure, Shirley Slade and Barbara Schaffer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
