He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" McGlinch and Lois Jean McGlinch (Hangen); his daughter Rachel McGlinch; and his brother Craig McGlinch. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patti" McGlinch (Clippinger) of Greenville; his daughter Lindsey McGlinch of Greenville; his sister Pamela; and his brother-in-law John Cook of Greenville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
