He was predeceased by: his father Frederick Eugene "Gene" Oda. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Oda (Dominek) of Greenville; his brother Chris Oda (Susan) of Powell, Ohio; and his nieces and nephews, Rachel Hamilton (Logan), Ryan Dent, Katie Steffas (Paul) and Lizzie Phillips (Jake).

Memorial Contributions be given to St. Mary's Catholic School Principal's Fund through the Darke Foundation or the Cancer Association of Darke County.

“We are so saddened by Rodney leaving this world so suddenly. Every time we met with him during tax season, we would always get a hug and a handshake.
