He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Preston and Josephine Preston (Kessler); his brother Larry Preston; his daughter Nancy Blankenship; and his granddaughter Macie Preston.

He is survived by: his significant other Carol Preston (Smith); his brother Richard Preston; his sons, Michael Preston, Brian Preston and Mark Preston; and his grandchildren, Alex Preston, Rachel Johnson, Andrew Ross, Emily Ross, David Blankenship, Samantha Thwaits, Cody Preston, Jordan Preston, Sara Preston, Sidney Preston, Kelsie Preston, Lily Preston and Madison Preston. He is also survived by numerous Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews and other family members.
